Description
Willman and Payne (1942) described this structure as a southwest- plunging nose emerging from the steep southwest flank of the fold that is now named the Peru Monocline. Their structure contour maps do not, however, indicate any feature resembling the anticline mentioned in the text. Use of the name Spring Valley Anticline should be discontinued.
