Description

Bristol (1975) mapped the Junction West Fault as a northeast-trending branch of the Albion-Ridgway Fault Zone. The upthrown block between the Junction and Junction West Faults was named the Junction Horst. Bristol and Treworgy (1979) did not recognize the Junction West Fault or the Junction Horst. Nelson and Lumm (1987) mapped a fault that almost corresponds with Bristol's (1975) Junction West, but they indicated it to be part of the Albion-Ridgway Fault Zone. The use of the names Junction West Fault and Junction Horst are discontinued because the structures that these names refer to are minor elements of the Albion-Ridgway Fault Zone.
