Description

The Brereton Anticline is a subtle fold mapped by Wanless (1957). It trends slightly north of east and is about 20 miles (32 km) long. Structural relief on the Springfield Coal Member (Pennsylvanian) is about 50 feet (15 m), and the south limb is steeper than the north one.
